About Kim:
My lifelong journey with animals led me to specialize in dogs starting in 2016. I gained valuable hands-on experience by owning and operating a pet sitting company here in Deland, FL, where I honed my dog-walking and handling skills over many years. My previous experience working with and owning rescued horses also taught me the importance of proper ground manners for safe and respectful interactions with humans. Each dog I work with offers unique challenges and learning opportunities. I've studied under various trainers, incorporating elements from their styles to develop my own unique training approach. Additionally, my coursework in Animal Behavior at the Canine Behavior Academy provided me with a strong foundation in instincts, emotions, body language, and dog evaluations. This knowledge enabled me to successfully place rescued dogs in suitable homes at a local shelter. In addition, I'm a certified Canine Good Citizen (CGC) Evaluator with the AKC. I understand that every dog and owner have individual needs. I'm open to utilizing a wide range of training methods to ensure you have an incredible dog of your own.
